do direct pages the kernel does not read (TurboQuant, affine widths that
straddle a 32-bit word), which read gathered. Direct pages the kernel reads
have none: the kernel's partitions follow the context length, which a
shapeless recorded graph cannot hold, and the lego reads one way, so a
composition with them decodes eagerly (resolveComposition). Per-layer
affine schemes leave their unlisted layers bf16, which the kernel reads.
