HLG sampling parameters — a piecewise tone curve on the logprobs. See 02d723a:docs/archive/hlg-sampling.md. Knobs are in nats (the logprob unit).

    Index
    gain: number

    m — mid-region slope. Folds temperature: m = 1/temperature.

pivot?: "top" | "entropy" | "median"

pivot (middle grey) placement — changes where the curve centers, hence its shape. "top": μ = max(ℓ) − offset. "entropy": μ = Σp·ℓ = −H (center of mass in tonal space). "median": μ = the logprob at the 50% cumulative-mass boundary (auto-levels).

    pivotOffset?: number

shift applied to the pivot base: μ = base − pivotOffset.

    shoulder: number

β_h — highlight rolloff scale. ≤ 0 ⇒ no shoulder (highlights stay linear).

    toe: number

β_t — shadow rolloff scale. ≤ 0 ⇒ no toe (shadows stay linear).

    width: number

w — half-width of the linear mid region. Infinity ⇒ no rolloff (pure temperature).
